Astrophotography Workshop at Sadhutar, Nepal

Sadhutar is popular with it’s serene blue pond surrended by bare hills and become a hotspot for local people to enjoy the reflection of mount Kanchanjungha and Kumvakarna Himalayan ranges in Phidim 8 panchathar, Nepal near Ranitar.

 

WHAT WILL BE COVERED IN THE WORKSHOP:

  • Milky Way Photography (Sagittarius Arm, Cygnus Arm & Orion Arm)
  • Star Trail Photography Deep Sky Photography Deep-scape Photography
  • Wide-field nightscapes including constellations, asterisms etc. Tracking the night sky
  • Blending (exposure blending, time blending)
  • Image stacking with Sequator, DeepSkyStacker, Pixinsight etc.
  • Post-processing with Pixinsight, Adobe Photoshop
  • Pre-tour session on basics of Astrophotography
  • Post-tour sessions on pre and post-processing

  • Day 1

09:00 Leave from NJP 16:00 Reach Sadhutar
17:30 Start setting up for night session

  • Day 2

13:00 Image review session
17:30 Start setting up for night session

  • Day 3

13:00 Image review session
17:30 Start setting up for night session

10:00 Leave from Sadhutar 18:00 Reach NJP

WHAT IS INCLUDED:

  • Travel by car from NJP to Sadhutar and back
  • Accomodation at Sadhutar Breakfast, Tea and Lunch on Day 1 during travel
  • Evening Snack, Tea and Dinner at Sadhutar (Day 1)
  • Tea, Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Snack and Dinner at Sadhutar (Day 2-4)

COST AND PAYMENT DETAILS:

  • Total cost for one person is Rs. 25,000 (Special discount for AB Club Members)
  • Rs. 10,000 to be paid for seat booking
  • Rest of the amount to be paid in September 2023

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT:

  • DSLR with wide-angle lens
  • Prime lenses like 35mm, 50mm etc. (not mandatory)
  • Telephototo lenses (not mandatory) Sturdy tripod
  • Dew Heater and Power Bank Headlamp with Red Light
